You can create a library of fittings that you can add to an estimate. The dimensions of a fitting can be pre-defined with fixed measurements, or can be scaled (by percentage) according to the member to which they are applied. For example, a cleat may be made from equal angle at 120mm in length. A base plate, however, may be made from plate, but its dimensions are 150% of the member's depth and width. This means that when applied to a 203X203X46UC, the base plate would be 304.5X304.5mm, and when applied to a 533X210x82UB, it would be 799.5X315mm. The dimensions of a fitting can be fixed, scaled or a mixture of the two. For example, the length of a base plate may be 100% of the main member's depth, plus an additional 150mm.
You can also add labour timings to individual fittings, to ensure that the fabrication time and cost is not overlooked.
You can group fittings into a fitting group. Instead of adding many fittings to an estimate, you can simply add the fitting group, thus saving time and reducing the likelihood of omitting a critical fitting from your estimate.
