Production Workstation - Calendar

The workstation calendar specifies the availability of the workstation for use in detailed planning. Although you can base a workstation calendar on any of the calendars that have been set up for the facility in which the workstation is located (which is specified on the Production Workstation - Details form), the calendar is not inherited from the facility. You must, therefore define a calendar specifically for the workstation. Use the following instructions to set up the workstation calendar:

1.            Select a calendar from the drop-down list. The calendars that appear in the drop-down list have been defined for the facility in which the workstation is located. Specify the date range over which the calendar applies.

2.            Define the working week.
To do this:

a.            Click the Work Weeks tab.

b.            Type in a name for the work week.

c.            Click Details.
The Work Week Details form is displayed.

d.            Specify the working hours for the week.

If you wish to use the same hours for multiple days, then select the desired range of days before entering the working times.

The options for selection include:

  • Pressing Shift and click the first and last day in the range.

  • Press CTRL and click multiple days.

3.            Specify exceptions. These are the days on which the working time differs from that defined for the working week or there are non-working times that need to be specified in the calendar.
To do this:

a.            Click the Exceptions tab.

b.            Type in a name for the exception and specify the date range on which it occurs.

c.            Click Details.
The Exception Details form is displayed.

d.            Select if the exception is Non-working or a change in Working Hours.

e.            If the exception is Non-working then only a daily exception can be put in place as the hourly From and To fields will be unaccessible. Choose when the exception will be an how often it will occur. For example, every Saturday is Non-working.

f.               If the exception is based on working times, the fields specify a start and finish will be available, The times will need to be entered in a format that matched the 24 hour clock.

g.            Specify the Recurrence Pattern for these working times.
