This screen displays the results of the nesting process. It has two smart filter tabs:
§ Covered
The nested items are displayed in the Cutting Plan
grid (see below)
§ Not Covered
This tab lists items that the Nesting Wizard
is unable to nest. The Nesting Wizard may not be able to nest items for
the following reasons:
§ The quantity of material lengths may not be sufficient to accommodate the quantity of parts to nest.
§ The available lengths of steel may not be long enough or wide enough if it is nonlinear material being nested.
§ In the item library, the Procurement field on the Item - Properties form may be set to something other than AutoCut.
§ If using a mill supplier for nesting, the parameters on the Mills tab of the Autocut Settings may need to be adjusted to accomodate the size of the nesting items.
This tab lists the cuts suggested by the nesting wizard. The list has three levels that you can expand or contract using the + or - signs as shown in the illustration below.

The list levels are as follows:
§ Source
At the top level is the material source, for example, the inventory, suppliers
and steel mills.
When you expand a row, the next level is revealed.
§ Item
The second level lists the items that are available from the source and
that are suggested for use during the fabrication process. If you do not
want to accept some of the nesting results then clear the Accept
check box for the particular row. When you order the material on the next
wizard screen, these rows are ignored. To select or clear the Accept check
box for multiple rows, select the rows and click the Check/Un-check
button.
You can amend the Supplier Unit Price and
Price Unit fields if necessary.
When you select a row at this level, the item is displayed in the Cutting Plan Viewer at the bottom of the screen
and the total waste figure (excluding kerf and gripping/end zone values)
is displayed.
When you expand a row, the final level is revealed.
§ Mark items
The final level lists the prelim marks (prelim nesting only) or mark items
(production nesting only) that will be cut from the material item. The
following icons are used:
indicates a prelim mark (prelim nesting only)
indicates a prelim mark that is to be cut from a theoretical
offcut (prelim nesting only)
indicates a mark item (production nesting only)
Select one or more rows to display the cuts graphically in the Cutting
Plan Viewer. This is shown in the illustration above. The Cutting Plan Viewer is particularly useful
as it clearly shows any rotated items; the grid shows the plane in which
the items have been rotated, X, Y or Z.
You can also batch update this information, see Batch update nesting results, and also override the nesting results by choosing at this stage to manually nest.

If the Manual Nest option is chosen, then the manual nesting window will appear with the material selected already populated in the cutting plan window and the mark items in the covered mark items window. These can then be manipulated to add material, remove a cutting plan or add/ remove the covered mark items. For further information, see Manual Nesting.
When this is completed, click OK to return to the nesting results page.
