About locations

Locations in STRUMIS are the physical areas in which processes take place and stock can be stored. They are connected to a large proportion of the system.

For Example, as an inventory item progresses through the Production Process, it may move through several physical locations both on and off your premises.

You could also be transferring items from one location to another (see Transfer inventory). You can track its progress and find out which items are in a particular location using the Inventory Search screen.

How do I access location records?

From the sidebar menu, go to Items & Inventory > Location.

Create a location

Use the standard method to create locations.

The Location form

When you create or edit a location, you will use the Location form.

Delete a location

Use the standard method to delete a location.

If you are attempting to delete a Location from STRUMIS and an error occurs, Use Detailed Delete Warning to identify where this Location has been used in the system. If it is possible to, the connected records will need to be removed before it can be deleted.

This function is located in System Settings> Use Detailed Delete Warning.
