If the physical machine represented by the workstation is a CNC machine that supports feedback, you can use this form to enable STRUMIS to access information that the machine produces. You can match data fields from the CNC machine file to those held within the STRUMIS system. This means that STRUMIS can pick up a file produced by the CNC machine, read it, and write the data into the STRUMIS database (depending on the transformation script defined on the Production Workstation - Feedback Transformation Script form). When this process is complete, the processed material is automatically moved to the next production stage.

Check for Workstation feedback |
You need to set up an automated task to regularly check for feedback from the CNC machine. This is done by creating a new task in System> Automated Tasks and selecting the operation Automatic Workstation Feedback. Make sure this record is saved. For more information see About Automated Tasks.
When you have done this, go back to your workstation and select the check box.

||
File Extension |
Specify the extension of the file produced by the CNC machine. |
||
Default Employee |
Select an employee from the drop-down list. This will be the machine operator. |
||
Workstation Feedback Path |
Specify the folder into which the CNC machine writes information files to. Mae sure this is held in a drive location that the machine has access to. |
||
Mappings |
Use these fields to map STRUMIS terms/information to the terms/information used in the files produced by the CNC machine. The mapping process is similar to that of the CAD Interface. The test file is loaded into the system via the Preview button then when it has been loaded, select the correct fields to be mapped by examining the Preview. You can choose the correct columns to be placed into the Mappings by clicking on the Ellipsis button to the side of each heading and then selecting the desired column name.
